Article Comment10 August 2004 Andrew Odlyzko's paper on 'Telecom Dogmas and spectrum allocations' (PDF 127Kb) - Products and service will be provided at the edge of the network rather than the transit core. Billing will need to recognise and charge for these products and services. The billing for new services delivered across different Telecom platforms is likely to be the similar. Personal communications (e.g. voice calls, SMS, MMS) will continue to be important, especially voice calls. This and other papers can be found on Andrew Odlyzko's website.
